Nancy LeMaster

Nancy LeMaster Speaker

Former VP of Supply Chain Transformation – Nancy J. LeMaster Consulting, formerly VP BJC Healthcare

Nancy LeMaster parlayed her years of healthcare supply chain experience into the formation of Nancy J. LeMaster Consulting. She currently leads the AHRMM Learning UDI workgroups, which are focused on expanding UDI adoption and utilization. In addition, LeMaster serves as Chair of the ISM Hospital Business Survey Committee. LeMaster spent most of her career at BJC HealthCare in St. Louis where she served for 17 years as Vice President of Supply Chain Operations. In 2015, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership by Bellwether League Foundation.


Karen Conway

VP, Healthcare Value – GHX

Karen Conway is a passionate advocate for supply chain, a healthcare delivery scientist who facilitates collaboration and a recognized international expert on unique device identification (UDI) rule. Most recently she completed a Capstone research project for the U.S. FDA on the changes required to achieve the intended value of the regulation beyond regulatory compliance and played a key role in the formation of the AHRMM Learning UDI Community.

Conway delivered closing remarks on sustainability in healthcare at the 3rd Annual Saving Lives Sustainably Global Forum, a G20 Summit pre-event, and led the supply chain curriculum at the 2021 national summit on health equity. A former national chair of AHRMM, Conway currently serves as board secretary for Strategic Marketplace Initiative (SMI) and a member of the GS1 Global Healthcare Leadership Team and the healthcare advisory board for CAPS Research. She co-wrote a best-selling book on global leadership, Leading from the Edge, was a contributing author to the Springer publication eBusiness in Healthcare and her monthly column in Healthcare Purchasing News is among the magazine’s most well-read. Conway holds a masters in the Science of Healthcare Delivery from Arizona State University and a bachelors degree from Colorado College.

Dir Supply Chain IS Program – Banner Health, CMRP, FAHRMM

Darcy Aafedt is Director of Supply Chain IS Program for Banner Health. She provides leadership for technical systems within supply chain including the ERP item master, patient supply charges, purchasing card and supply chain communications. She is a business administration and communication graduate of the University of North Dakota. She also holds the Certified Resource and Materials Professional (CMRP) certification and Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Resource and Material Management (FAHRMM).

Cynthia Shumway

Cynthia Shumway

Dir of Supply Chain Business Applications Intermountain Healthcare

As the Director of Business Applications for the Supply Chain and Shared Services at Intermountain Healthcare, Cynthia is responsible for Supply Chain, Facility Management, Clinical Engineering and non-supply chain contract systems as well as EDI and process automation including RPA.

Cynthia has led Intermountain as early adopters in UDI implementation from transactions to point of use capture.

Cynthia brings over 25 years of health care supply chain experience. She participates in the Healthcare Transformation Group (HTG), GS1 workgroups and leadership team, and other industry forums to promote industry standards and implementation of leading practices. Cynthia graduated from Brigham Young University is certified in TPS Lean, Continuous Improvement and Change Management.
